Kennesaw Holds Veteran's Celebration
at Kennesaw Mountain High School
Saturday Evening, April 18, 2009


Mayor Mark Mathews, flanked by Kennesaw Mountain and North Cobb High School Principals Kevin Daniels and Dr. Mike Johnson.
An impressive Marine Corps Officer Advancement Ceremony was witnessed by the spectators. One-star General to a Two-Star General. Promotions Ceremonies of this magnitude are rarely witness by civilians.
Kennesaw Mayor Matthews, Kennesaw Councilman and Post 304 member Tim Killingsworth (who organized the Celebration), and Post 304 Jr. Vice Commander Larry (TUG) Hale, watch the U.S. Marine Corps Silent Drill Team perform.


And, man, did they perform! They were awesome and obviously influenced the NCHS and KMHS Jr. ROTC Drill Teams, who also performed earlier.
