Above artwork was provided by illustrious Commander Larry Lieber.
Sorry, I couldn't take the credit for this one!

Have you ever been aboard a nuclear powered submarine? Ever wondered what they do when they are at sea or what their missions are? How do the men aboard spend their time? And what about navigation, propulsion and emergencies? How is submarine control similar to airplanes?

Come to the next meeting on Thursday, January 18th and learn more when retired submarine Captain Ron Deering gives us the answers to many of these questions and more. Ron had command of two nuclear submarines during his 27-year Navy career, as well as numerous other jobs in operations, training and intelligence support of submarines.

Doors of the GA Army National Guard Armory, 1901 McCollum Pkwy, Kennesaw, will open at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be available. The meeting will start at 7:15 and Capt. Deering's presentation will follow shortly thereafter. Please let us know if you need transportation.

See ya Thursday!
