Senior Vice Commander Larry Lieber and I manned The American Legion booth at Kennesaw State University's Starlight Summer Concert Series on Sunday evening, July 2, 2006. The first two pictures above show the booth with Lieber talking with an interested veteran, who may join our Post. Third picture is the Fourth of July cake that Larry's wife Ann made (delicious!), and the next picture is of Larry and Ann. Larry, by the way, prepared a delicious picnic meal with 11 courses (just kiddin'), featuring baked salmon and lots of goodies (hors d'eouvres). Next is the Cobb Symphony Orchestra with a guest (local) musician playing sax and a rendition from a movie score from the early 1950's (Elizabeth Taylor and Montgomery Clift - but I can't remember the name of the movie) and next is the Symphony playing Patriotic tunes. Finale was The 1812 Overture (rousing!), followed by the fireworks and they were just great. Wish you all could have joined us. It was a worthwhile effort and most enjoyable.
